Classroom Daydreams
As an assistant teacher, I have the opportunity to see many different classroom setups for different grade levels. My Pinterest board for classroom design is chock full of ideas I might not use for two to three years. When I look through it I get overwhelmed sometimes. I love the idea of bright colors, cozy reading areas, versatile seating choices and having a huge classroom library. I call my vision a Pinterest classroom. Those are very expensive. I know once push comes to shove the reality will be not at all as I expect. I will most likely be able to get 50% less of the things I want and have to find cheaper versions or DIY hacks for other things.
For example, I LOVE these whiteboard tables from Sprout Classrooms! They are so clever and I can imagine doing so many cool things with them for any age. Buzzfeed said it right when these are completely inspirational. These different classrooms are GORGEOUS and I can’t even imagine how much they cost these teachers.
It seems like the ideas and designs are unlimited. Obviously once space is taken into account, budget is added together, things are feasible and not at all possible. Until then, I will keep day dreaming.
