My (New) Career as a YouTuber
I have always watched other teachers (and most recently Sims 4 streamers) on YouTube to learn tips and tricks. I find that they teach me a lot and for someone who is a visual/auditory learner, they are a great way for me to see things at my own pace and truly internalize them.
Some of my favorites videos are linked below:
Anyway, I could post so many more but those are just a few of my top favorites in the teaching world (right now). I will probably do a whole series on what I am watching now but Pocketful of Primary and New EdTech Classroom are good starting points. Needless to say I was inspired. I have always been good at making flipped classroom videos and as there was a need for more technology tutorials emerging throughout this year, I started recording my own videos for the staff called “Tech Tuesday Videos”. In these I have highlighted tools like Jamboard and Whiteboard.Chat and how they could use it in their classrooms.
Since then I have branched out to videos for our families to support them. Those are now affectionately known as Tech Talk and those are my more official ones (YouTube, thumbnails and all!). I have linked my channel down below for you to explore (it’s pretty sparse right now but I am planning on transferring Tech Tuesday over there when I have a second of brain power left).
