Bring On The Internship!
Starting January 26th, I officially start my internship for my reading specialist license. Once we get back to school on the 3rd I start my small group work and find a student to do one on one work with. There is a sense of excitement in the logging hours and starting the process.
The hardest thing I tell people about being an assistant is not having the opportunity to plan. I miss planning and the biggest element the internship gives me is planning experience in multiple areas of literacy. I am excited to see my phonics plans come together and I love some of the fluency activities I am finding on Pinterest.
Every day in the classroom the kiddos do a lot of great learning and soon I will be helping to plan their learning. It is a big moment for me and I am beyond ready for this now.
