Edspiration: Exit Tickets
Exit tickets were a big thing I was taught at Brandeis. A lot of my teachers talked about how important they are, gave different formats (3-2-1 etc.). I didn’t really see the value in them when it was all hypothetical. This year the two teachers I work with use them often. I really love the idea of them and I have listened to them talk about how much prep it takes to do them and how little time they have to do them. They also talk about how they want to use them more and strategies they will try so it becomes less like a chore.
This teacher posted a bunch of pre-made ones that I don’t know if I would opt to use when it comes down to it. I do believe, however, that her idea of sorting them is great. I love the three different categories because as a teacher it gives me a concrete sense of who needs the help and if the class on a whole got it. I have been finding so many great things on Pinterest and the best thing is they are things I will actually use. One day I will do an overhaul of my Pinterest account..
